Gochujang Glazed Salmon Rice Bowl


Ingredients


  • 4 tbsp Ofood gochujang
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1.5 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 shallot, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup short grain rice, rinsed
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 tbsp soup soy sauce

Direction


  1. Add the butter and neutral oil to a pot, then sauté the shallot and garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add the rinsed rice and lightly toast for a minute.
  3. Pour in the water and soup soy sauce.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover with a lid.
  5. After about 10 minutes, gently place the salmon on top of the rice.
  6. Cover again and continue cooking for another 8 to 10 minutes.
  7. Once the rice is cooked and the salmon is tender, remove from heat.
  8. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
  9. Optional: Brush or drizzle the remaining glaze over the salmon before serving.
