Gochujang Glazed Salmon Rice Bowl
Ingredients
- 4 tbsp Ofood gochujang
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1.5 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 shallot, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup short grain rice, rinsed
- 1.5 cups water
- 1 tbsp soup soy sauce
Direction
- Add the butter and neutral oil to a pot, then sauté the shallot and garlic until fragrant.
- Add the rinsed rice and lightly toast for a minute.
- Pour in the water and soup soy sauce.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover with a lid.
- After about 10 minutes, gently place the salmon on top of the rice.
- Cover again and continue cooking for another 8 to 10 minutes.
- Once the rice is cooked and the salmon is tender, remove from heat.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
- Optional: Brush or drizzle the remaining glaze over the salmon before serving.
